Ceil Kasha began her professional career as Executive Assistant to Leon Bretter, Vice President of Shapiro, Bernstein & Co. Music. It was during her tenure at Shapiro Bernstein that she met her future husband, two-time Academy Award-winning composer and songwriter, Al Kasha.

Most but not all of Ceil’s professional life has been devoted to the music industry. For many years, Ceil had an extremely successful interior design business with an extensive celebrity client list. She also represented Donna Summer Enterprises in a negotiation that led to a multi-million-dollar contract for her friend Donna Summer’s artwork.

At the moment, however, Ceil’s energies are all music-directed. In addition to co-producing In a Booth at Chasen’s, Ceil heads up three successful music-publishing companies – Sister Ceil, Anthology, and Brother Dan. Current projects include a musical written by Al Kasha and David Foster entitled Rejoice! and Higher and Higher, a biopic about legendary soul music icon, Jackie Wilson. Ceil also represents Al and Dana Kasha, rights-holders for the very popular stage version of the American classic, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
